Music Therapy Facts
•  Music therapist use music and musical experiences to achieve non-musical
   goals. It is adaptable to any child, no matter how sick or disabled, and
   regardless of age.
•  Music therapy goals include: providing sensory and tactile stimulation,
   increasing self-awareness as well as the awareness of others, increasing
   attention span,increasing the accuracy of motor skills in addition to being a
   modality for emotional expression and social interaction.
• Through song writing, instrument play, movement, singing, and music assisted
   relaxation (both individually and in groups) music therapy serves to address
   the various needs of the child.
